Let's start at the beginning...

This is the story of my family…my amazing family!

In March of 2020 the entire globe was plunged into lockdown due to the Covid 19 Pandemic; the first global pandemic since the Spanish Flu in the early 20th Century. I needed something to occupy my mind so I thought I would delve into my family tree.  Little did I realise that this would take me on a thoroughly enjoyable journey through my past and those of my ancestors; and also renew my love of history and learning…lots of learning!  This journey would take me back to many places in my history.  My granddad's family are from Whitby and the Midlands and my grandmother's family are from Brampton and Northumberland…but more of that later.

My journey would take me on an amazing voyage of discovery…personal heroes…national treasures…and heroic family members.

Indeed somewhere to share my amazing discoveries s grab a coffee and come along with me on my journey of discovery.  Let’s start at the very beginning…it is always good place to start.
