Where did it all start...

It all started with my great-grandparents on my grandmother's side and they were Marguerite Bainbridge Hall and Thomas King Hood.  You were both born in 1878 and came from Gateshead.  

I thought this would be as far back in my family that I could go...but I was wrong.

I started using a website called FamilySearch Which took me back to my Bainbridge descendants.  I also subscribed to a free website called WikiTree who started sending me emails once a week with the names of people I was connected to.  I then started using Ancestry...and this is where the journey begins

I discovered from this that my great-grandparents on my grandfather's side came from Stoke-on-Trent.  This was the Roberts and that the Spencelayh's came from Whitby.  Something that I didn't know.

The weird and strange part of the family came from the WikiTree emails.  It started with The Alamo... then we got the actors from Star Wars and Harry Potter.  

I then challenged myself to find my own weird and wonderful family connections.  This is where I discovered a wizard, two witches and a voodoo queen from New Orleans.  That's not all and this is is the purpose of this blog...to welcome you on my journey as I post pages about my relatives.
